Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026 · Version 2026-10-13-beta-v3
Scope and parent-managed access
Aveluna Learn is an Aveluna Group project. This policy covers avelunalearn.com and the separate parent-supervised learning app at app.avelunalearn.com. The app is a private beta for invited adult parents or guardians and their assigned learners. Public enrollment is closed. Children do not create independent accounts.
A parent provides their own name and confirmed email, manages learner names or nicknames and grades, chooses learning settings, supervises use, and reviews saved progress. A supplied name is not identity verification or proof of guardianship. Parent names and family records are not public profiles.
Information collected
If an adult applies for beta access, we collect the parent name, contact email, stated testing purpose, number of children, their grade levels and school or homeschool information as supplied. You may enter Prefer not to say for school information. Do not submit children’s names, student IDs, birth dates, medical information or school credentials. We use application information to review eligibility and fit, prevent misuse, and contact the parent about requested access. Applications are private and visible only to authorized reviewers and necessary service providers; submitting one does not create an account or guarantee approval.
Parent information includes your name, email, account identifiers, account-access status, authentication and security records, beta-agreement version and acceptance time, and any support information you choose to provide. Password authentication is managed by our authentication provider. We do not show passwords or verification codes in the Admin Portal.
Learner records include a parent-created first name or nickname, grade, theme and learning settings, questions shown, submitted responses, correctness, assistance used, saved missions, and recorded activity time. Activity time measures recorded interaction, not continuous attention. Use a nickname where practical; do not enter a child’s surname, address, birth date, school credentials, medical documents, photos or recordings.
Hosting and security providers process technical information such as IP addresses, request details, error logs and authentication events to deliver and protect the service. The app does not request camera, microphone or location access or record a child’s voice. Optional read-aloud uses browser/device speech features; the selected operating-system voice service may have its own processing practices.
Limited purposes and parent choices
We use this information to authenticate invited parents, operate separate private families, save and display learning progress, provide requested assistance and support, diagnose service problems, prevent misuse, and evaluate the private beta’s reliability and learning features. Authorized administrators can view parent accounts and recorded usage, login and original-practice metrics for these purposes. Other families cannot view your records.
Before entering the beta, the adult account holder receives a direct data notice and affirmatively accepts the beta agreement and the described collection and use. We record the document version, exact text hash, parent name supplied at acceptance, authenticated account, session and server acceptance time. This does not grant permission for unrelated future uses. We will seek separate informed permission before introducing optional uses or disclosures outside these stated purposes; declining an optional use will not require giving up the core service.
No sale, advertising or unrelated reuse
We do not sell or rent parent or learner personal information, share it for targeted advertising, publish family results, or use family data to train AI models. We do not add advertising trackers or use children’s information for marketing. Beta acceptance is not consent to testimonials, public case studies, marketing messages, unrelated research, or future commercial data uses.
Necessary providers and limited disclosures
We use service providers to operate and protect the website and learning app, manage secure parent accounts, store private progress, and deliver essential account emails. These providers process information needed for those functions. Parent email and invitation/login information are sent for email delivery; learner answers are not included in verification emails.
Access is limited to the assigned family, authorized administrators supporting the service, and providers needed for the stated functions. We do not provide other parents with your family data. Limited disclosure may also be necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation, protect account safety, or respond to your authorized request. We do not promise that hosting, authentication or email can operate without provider processing. A future business transaction or service change does not authorize unrelated data use; applicable notice and permission requirements still apply.
Security and remembered devices
Parent access requires a password and authenticator or email verification, or an expressly chosen remembered-device credential after verification. Family access is checked on the server. Admin access requires a private administrator role and fresh verification; a parent name or email text entered on a form cannot grant that role. We use encrypted transport and access restrictions, but cannot guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
If you choose Remember this device for 7 days, the app stores a device credential in that browser and a hash/security record on the server. It expires after seven days and is invalidated by relevant account changes or revocation. Use it only on a personal device. Forget this device revokes access; clearing browser data removes the browser copy. Parent supervision and a password are still required. Current app login tokens and second-step session proofs are held in memory, not persistently saved by the app.
Access, correction, withdrawal and deletion
You can edit your parent name in Parent account and review your assigned learners and saved progress. For other corrections, a copy of your records, deletion, or withdrawal of permission for further learner collection/use, contact support@avelunagroup.com from the parent account email. We verify authority before releasing or changing family records. You can decline the agreement and sign out without accepting it. You may stop beta use at any time; withdrawal requests do not waive your rights or authorize continued unrelated processing.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the described service, security and applicable legal purposes, and honor verified deletion requests subject to necessary legal exceptions. Deactivating beta access does not itself delete saved progress. Backups may expire through their normal rotation; required limited security or legal records may be retained. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup or indefinite retention. A documented retention/deletion schedule and additional operator contact and parental-consent requirements must be completed before broader enrollment.
Changes and future paid service
We identify policies by version and effective date. Material agreement changes require affirmative acceptance of the new version before further app use; older acceptance records remain attributable to their original text. Necessary privacy notices and separate permission for new optional purposes will be provided where required. The private beta does not enroll you in a subscription, collect payment information, or authorize a future charge. A future paid service requires a separate disclosed offer and acceptance.
Contact
For privacy or account requests, contact Aveluna Learn at support@avelunagroup.com. Do not send passwords, verification codes or sensitive child documents. Public enrollment remains closed while business registration, operator contact details and broader-enrollment privacy and consent requirements are finalized.
